The Montana CoC is happy to announce that a final schedule for migrating data to a new Homeless Management Information System has been set.
Many thanks are owed to the MT Dept of Health and Human Services Intergovernmental Human Services Bureau and Northrup Grumman for their assistance.
Here is the latest update:
- Data Migration. The last day to use the Northrop Grumman HMIS is Friday, August 3.
Northrop Grumman, Mediware and Pathways MISI will spend several weeks creating export files, importing them into a ServicePoint test system, inspecting the data, and making corrections where data issues have occurred. During this time, agencies will need to keep temporary computer or paper records, and will enter them into ServicePoint as soon as the new system goes live.
2. “Go-Live” Launch Date. September 4th, the day after Labor Day.
HMIS users who want to start using ServicePoint earlier may do so after completing online ServicePoint training. HMIS users may register for this training at https://www.pcni.org/training . (Note: people who start using ServicePoint early may find that historical client data is not yet in the system)
- Coordinated Entry
Testing of the new ServicePoint By Name List and referral report has begun and should be complete by the end of July.
- Training. In-person User Training week of Aug 27-31
Planning is underway to provide in-person HMIS User training in each of the seven largest communities just prior to the ServicePoint launch date. There will be short, HMIS-focused Coordinated Entry sessions at each of these trainings followed by more intensive, web based trainings in the weeks following launch. The Coordinated Entry BuildOut Committee is working with Pathways MISI to design these trainings.
- Regulatory Compliance
All HMIS participating agencies have received Agency Participation Agreements, and most have signed and returned them. We are on target to have all agreements in place by the launch date.
- HMIS Configuration
Configuration of all HMIS agency and project records is complete.
